hey. Im looking at buying a PSP (portable sony playstation ) in Seoul. Anyone know where the best place to get one is ? also. if anyone already has one.....how do you like it? any problems? |

Yongsan.
According to Danawa the lowest price is 294,000 but I've seen Japanese models there for 260,000. Ask around. Just try to avoid the extras unless you really need them. That's where the store guys make their commission, selling you loads of useless junk you neither want or need.
I would, however, recomend an LCD screen protector of some sort. A scratch on that baby is going to piss you off bigtime. |

i sometimes buy things off of ebay and have them shipped here. Just make sure you check feedback rating, can ship overseas, etc. You may find some good prices there. |

The jap. models "fell of a boat in Inchon" before the Kr model was released, so they are cheaper and use V1 firmware which was the first to be hacked for homebrew. They are NOT covered by Sony A/S in Korea.
The Korean version (1.5 firmware) has now been hacked for homebrew and I now have 5 UMD games running off a 1 gig mem card.
Its a great little gadget, but the mem cards are expensive.
