Do a cartwheel and everything will be fine. |

Maybe it was a little mean of me but it was a joke.
What it means is- the quality of responses is proportional to the quality of info in the question.
I.E.- the title actually doesn't really spell it out- you gotta give more info. |

oh. thought it was enough. didn't even know you were being mean...i am pretty computer inept. i dunno what i can tell you...all i know is when i try to view a video clip from the internet it totally freezes halfway through and i have to turn my computer off to un-freeze it which is bad for the computer, exactly why i know not.
i checked available memory and there was loads...
now i am afraid to watch video clips from the internet cos this always seems to happen.
this is probably an idiotic question but like i said, my computer idiocy prevents me from being able to tell when i am being an idiot. |

Well, you're not getting any other responses, so it's not just me- I think you need to post some concrete info if anyone is going to be able to help you.
I'm certainly not a video guru, but there are plenty of them here.
How about posting your pc specs and then giving a detailed narrative of the problem. |

First, what format are the clips? If they are for WMP (.asf, .wmv, etc...) then you might want to play with the cache settings....have the browser cache the entire clip before playing it.
Then it might be a codec problem...try re-installing some codecs...do a search for the "Aceman mega-codec pack".
Hardware accelleration disable? Enable?
I really don't know...a virus? |
