AP has leaked and NBC has cofirmed that John Roberts, 50, will be nominated tonight. He is currently on the DC Court of Appeals. He's served there for about 2 years. He also served as Assistant Solicitor General.
He's been through Senate confirmation twice.
It doesn't look like there will be a big fight about this guy. He's not considered one of the flakey kind of judges. They are calling him a 'bed-rock' conservative.
I, for one, am relieved. |

| No flack on Fox News at least; they were all happy. Same with the guys on the News Hour on PBS (David Brooks and ... Shields, don't know his first name). Don't think it'll be messy in DC. |
