i'm getting ready to come to korea and i'm planning to buy a new camera, probably a nikon d50 or cannon EOS, would it be cheaper to get it in korea? it'll have the english instructions and standard equip i'm guessing?
any big photography buffs out there want to give me the low down on the whole camera situation in SK? i hear digital photography is quiet popular there |

most likely it will be cheaper "here" rather than in korea.
i just saved over 150,000 won by buying my digital camera in the usa and having a friend to bring it over with them this summer.
you can search for the model you are interested in at this website,
http://www.danawa.co.kr
doesn't matter if you can't read korean, just type the model number/name in the search box. it will give you a list of prices at different stores in korea.
however, there are usually 2 different price ranges. a cheaper one for japanese models that don't carry a valid warranty in korea and a more expensive price for models that have a valid korean warranty.
is
