wow. i'm leaving tomorrow morning. preparing myself for clean air, powerful herbal remedies and beer that doesn't taste like a clam's ass.
culture shock reports imminent. i'll probably jaywalk more, shove less.
apkujeong to okanagan lake. it'll be certainly be like apples and oranges, pepper and ice cream, tofu and bosintang.
but i'm stoked to say the least. punch yourself in the legs. |

Ah the Okanagan, I miss that place.
Have fun and enjoy the fresh air and fresh fruit. |

No kidding. Fill a glass with ice and pour in some ice-cold, Okanagan cider. |

You're going back to where clam juice is added to beer at many a baseball tourney. I know, my retired father has helped run beer gardens in the Tournament Capital of Canada, in nearby Kamloops, B.C., (just northwest of the Okanagan: go to the awesome Shuswaps and hang a left)
To mention a recent relevant experience of mine: Clamato juice in beer is a Canadian tradition that a bartender in New Zealand just shook his head at earlier this year when recounting his trip to the Great White North.
Beer that taste like a clam's butt indeed! |

You'd better not be from Kelowna...CUZ IF YOU ARE!!!!
Most of the Okanagon is pretty decent outside of Kelowna and Kamloops (is kamloops really the Okanagon?)
Wanna bring some strong herbal medicine back from me? |

Wow. Keep the excitement rolling. Tell us about the superior toilet paper and pepper. I can't wait, after perusing your blog, to hear about your adventures.
Keep it wild, and above all else, keep keeping it real. |

Incidentally, that appears to be out of date. I've heard she retired and moved to Victoria. |

Been away from BC for 8 months, won't be going back for at least another 12, maybe longer. I only miss it when I start feeling clausterphobic in a crowd of people. But why would you be going to Vernon when you're just moving from one oven to another? Methinks VanIslander might be able to offer some better suggestions. |
