...on this planet?

My vote goes to Canada. I haven't been there, I've never wanted to go, but 99.99% of the Canadians that I meet can't be wrong!

They say it's beautiful - it must be!

They say it's number one - it must be!

They say, get a tattoo of a maple leaf on your arm - I want to!

Man, Canada sounds awesome - and that's why I hate god! He made me an AIDS-ridden Sif African, instead of a number one Canadian!

Sieg Heil! O Canada! You're so diverse you don't even know it!

I regret having 11 official languages, and 3 languages in our national anthem - I wish that we could be as diverse as Canada, where even the Anglo's love the Frenchies!

Is it true that they feed high schoolers poutine in the cafeterias in Cananda?

Wow! All my peeps agree:

No one can answer as no one has been everywhere. Canada does contain a lot of beautiful nature, as do many other countries. It's big and mostly empty, so of course it had beautiful unbothered areas. But everywhere you go you can find that.

You know Taiwan is tiny and crowded, and yet has some amazingly attractive areas. Vietnam and Thailand, or elsewhere in SE Asia, have a lot. Africa must be loaded with it. Or give me a small island almost anywhere, no doubt beauty abounds. Everyone has bragging rights. But is anyone right? Nah, probably just proud that, "my country is the greatest because, well, hell, I was born there" ....... Wink

"Oh, you'd never see that in Canada, in Canada, it's cold, eh, so how aboat that! We're not like Americans eh, we respect other cultures, we just shoved the Inuit aside eh, unlike you South Africans, who were blatant about it; no eh, we were sly about it; you guys are sick for what you did."

I love Canada - the open-mindedness is just, sometimes, too much for my petty racist inferior brain!

Actually, truth be told, I just want to go to Canada for the girls - never before have I seen girls with such slim, finely-toned, beautiful bodies.

Again I say: Why was I not born Canadian, instead of being a god-given gift to women? This in itself is proof that there is no god; everyone beautiful should be born Canadian.

I saw the beauty of New Zealand firsthand earlier this year
but was shocked to learn that there were NO native animals in the country,
none,
other than birds.
Many of the people who first arrived there starved to death.
Beautiful but barren.
It would have been amazing to experience the quietness
and lack of movement.
A boggling idea.

This planet is home to many beautiful places, deserts, mountains, beaches, etc. I've been lucky enough to see a glimpse of this beauty in my travels.

But nationalism just turns this into yet another stupid discussion, where we're supposed to pick one place over another based on which flag is currently waving in its background.

We should answer this question not based on a political map, but a non-political map, indeed, as many posters seem to be already doing...

Well said Gopher, I too have been surprised at the gentle nature of this discussion which looked so much like potential flame bait.

Northern Thailand is one of my personal favorites. I really liked the mountains of western Washington and B.C. too, along with the Alps... Oh, so many sights yet to see.

Yeah. Just a hint of bitterness from the OP. Who wouldn't say their native country is beautiful.

For example, me!!!

Ireland is the most beautiful country in the world. It's a scientific fact. 82.4 percent of people who visit Ireland say it's the most gorgeous and sexy country in the world.....

....here is where I get drunk in the Irish countryside.....

Cushendall, County Antrim.

How is it possible for someone's pictures to truly bugger up a page so friggin' much. What a pain in the ass.

I have no clue which is the most beautiful country because as one poster said there are so many beautiful countries.

BB, where are you from? How about you go and *beep* yourself and the country you rode in on.
