(what this article really says is the Korean homeboy was hooking up his Korean homies in Ho Chi Minh City with sex workers).
Korean man expelled from Vietnam for pandering (PIMPING)
A Korean national working as a hotel manager in Ho Chi Minh City will be expelled from Vietnam for acting as a go-between for foreign tourists and local prostitutes, according to the local court July 22.
Hwang Kyung Soon, 49, and Vietnamese tour guides had jointly set up a so-called sex tour to supply prostitutes for foreign tourists.
Some 80 prostitutes in the ring worked as waitresses at a karaoke bar in the Oscar Hotel on Nguyen Hue Boulevard in the citys downtown district. Soon was hired to manage the karaoke bar and waitresses.
Two other Vietnamese people were also sentenced to three years imprisonment for pandering.
Police uncovered the ring in late 2002 when Soon had arranged to bring prostitutes to Tan Hoang Duong Hotel in district 1. |

True, but it's ironic given the reaction of Koreans to the idea of Korean girls being exploited by foreigners.
There is a lot of hypocrisy, and I've seen plenty of unacompanied older Korean men in Thailand too.
Just as long as the average Korean is equally shocked by this news then I'll be satisfied though.
Vietnamese prostitution is nothing new either, and I'm sure that there are more westerners than Koreans involved. The exploitation in these countries is horrible.
Actually, Korea is helping Vietnam economicaly by out sourcing a lot of it's manufacturing.

Well if you think that building sweatshops is helping out the Vietnamese people then maybe you are right. Korea has Vietnam sowen up and are exploiting the country for cheap labour.
The people that the Koreans help out in Vietnam are the foreign English teachers. They provide a very good source of extra income by having their children home tutored in English. (and it's not illegal in Vietnam) |

And no other country does that? Geez, Einstein, please crawl out of that hole you live in.

Yeah, Koreans really "help" out the unfortunate Vietnamese people through exploitation. Yeah, you won't hear a word about that exploitation in the Korea media but you will hear about things when a foreigner or two is seen with a Korean girl. If they would get over this parochial, superiority complex that is obviously false, the place would be a better one in which to live. |

I wonder if they'll make a T.V. documentary about Korean men in South East Asia. Something like a sex and gambling expose. |

You can't even log onto other nations' news sites these days without seeing Koreans dominating the foreigner crimes sections. And of course they impose the highest standards in their own country with the focus on foreigners in Korea.
===
Vietnam police bust illegal Korean yada yada....
Police in a southern Vietnamese province have busted an illegal ring led by a Korean woman which was organizing meetings between Vietnamese girls and prospective Korean husbands.
Oh Moon Sook entered Vietnam 28 times since July 2002, supposedly as a tourist, and operated as a matchmaker in violation of Vietnamese laws, the Tien Giang province police said.
....
The police said Oh violated regulations governing foreigners and overseas Vietnamese by participating in activities not connected with the ostensible purpose of her visits to Vietnam. No!?!?!
The whistle was blown on the ring by a girl who married a Korean man five months ago but was unable to go to Korea because the gang falsified her papers. Kind of like the way they do things in their institutions of higher learning.
The girl said Oh Moon Sook kept all her money, jewels and dowry. Kind of like the way they do things in their institutions of higher learning.
