Not really; Longhorn was always known to be the development codename and that the product would have a different, 'official' name before its release. |

Am dying to know if they have any anti-piracy stuff built into that. |

No details but I read that they are leaving out a lot of stuff they originally wanted to include in order to make the shipping deadline.
Then again, you could probably say the same thing for any piece of software ever sold. |

I searched and found this thread. I heard that Vista will have some safety features to block High-Definition content play on digital monitors. So people will have to up and buy special monitors, or get a special dongle or something to view it. 1080i format, mainly.
I'm not excited about Vista now. |

Heck, I still have 2 pcs on 2000pro; I guesstimate that- as things stand (i.e. no great new features and lot of potentially restrictive ones)- I won't be using Vista before 2009-2010 at the earliest. That's a long time in the computer world; In 4-5 years anything could happen, so yeah Vista doesn't sound very appealing now but no reason to get alarmed about it either. |

Wow, try a month. BBE already said he did a search to bring this back up, so your comment is trying to communicate what exactly? |
