When you're looking at those starting salary figures you also have to realize a number like 2.7 includes rent. The range you should be looking at is more along the lines of 19.~2.2. Kind of false advertising. It does catch the eye and look all the more impressive.

If you're not worried about the salary, that's good. The range is so narrow that I don't think it's important to focus on - within reason. Consider all the other points that make the difference in your time here being a living hell or an enjoyable experience. Salary won't factor in that experience.

Don't make that 2~5 year plan until you've finished your first year. Many teachers have made the Pacific sprint home before the first year was up.
