Anyone that says "I am proud of my country" is cool; it's because of people like you that it's okay for me to say that "I'm proud of my white skin".

I thank all you nationalists - you're so inspiring. Thank you!

I'm not saying Zimbabwe isn't beautiful, but you can't sit there and tell me I can't be proud because NZ doesn't have the biggest most impressive features. This topic is about beautiful countries. That waterfall is impressive, but it isn't beautiful (in my opinion).

Zimbabwe is covered with balancing rocks- granite outcrops such as this.

beautiful trees..

In Zimbabwe, we say "a harsh beauty."

Some nice pics. To be honest I think the earth is a very beautiful thing.

America's badlands are amazing, Scotland has stunning scenery, The Andaman coast in Thailand is breathtaking, the Perhentian islands in Malaysia are the most beautiful place I've been.

The cotswolds in the UK are pretty amazing as is the Pembroke coast. Bali is stunning in places. The world is a beautiful place, there are just too many places to visit. My list of countries to visit gets bigger every year, I'm going to have to take a year of soon so I can see as much of the world as possible.

Every country has beauty and ugliness. I don't think that any place stands out in my mind as much as the Perhentian islands Malaysia. there is something deeply and enchantingly beautiful about those islands.

Asking what country is most beautiful is like asking which slice of pizza speaks better Italian.

There is beauty everywhere. Enjoy it while you can for there are two certainties:

1) Beautiful landscapes are disappearing every day.
2) You will very likely be dead in the next 70 years. Some of us will be lucky to see another 30-40 years.

Have a GREAT day!

Crying or Very sad You made me cry.

I'm still wondering where Buddy Bradley's from or what he thinks is the most beautiful country. He starts a thread with bad intentions and doesn't contribute. Rolling Eyes

Nice try, but that photo is taken on the Zimbabwean side. As you know the zambesi and the falls mark the border between the 2 countries, both of which claim it. But the best views of the falls are to be had in zimbabwe- explaining why tourists wishing to see it only come to Zim, and not zambia.

i spent 3 days circuiting it. Zambia offers just one, incomplete side view, below. Its a bit like settling for one slice of pizza, when a quick pass through zimbabwean customs will let you eat the whole thing.

The single viewpoint available from zambia:

Full views from the zimbabwean side.

-anyhow. Why is nobody posting pics of their countries on here? Show me some pics!

Beautiful but barren.

and lack of movement.
A boggling idea.

Perhaps you mean no native mammals? I find it hard to believe anyone starved to death in such a fertile country. You could always copy the Maoris and eat people. Wink

Re the OP: my own country is the most beautiful of course.

New zealand has some native bats and seals.
such as the lesser short-tailed bat, endemic to new zealand.

-Apart from that, no native mammals- but it does have lots of unique native fish, insects, birds, lizards and frogs.

http://www.doc.govt.nz/Conservation/001~Plants-and-Animals/001~Native-Animals/index.asp

best of new zealand would be its birds, such as the world's only flightless parrot, the kakapo, for example.

What a cutie!
