|
|
I'm just finishing up my evaluations for the month. One of my 4th grade girls lost her dad a few weeks ago. I'm thinking of writing a short, "my condolences" on her evaluation. I didn't do anything at the time other than telling her that I was sorry.
Would you, or just leave it?
I've been in Korea for 5 years now and fortunately death has not been something I've had to deal with much - at all. |

Leave it man. If you want to offer condolances, do it in person, or not at all. |

I think a written note would be fine, but not on an evaluation. I was told it was good to write thank you notes for gifts, so I would write a note and give it to her separately.

I left it. It's been almost a month. I just wrote the regular evaluation. It really was/is sad for someone that young to lose her dad. She's one of the nicest kids you'll ever meet. Hopefully, she'll be ok. |
