I have seen much worse!! A mate of mine tipped his dads bike in a triathalon and bailed going down hill at 55km/ph... had to say goodbye to his brand new $2000 bike (not to mention his munted bike helmet)... luckily he walked (limped) away not seriously hurt but just missing a whole lot of skin, and had a lot of bruising (especially his ego).

Anyways, in sympathy I was going to send chocolate, but I am a Harry Potter supporter... It seems you are against all of my "satanic" beliefs... (aparently) and therefore comforting you is against my religion...

Wink

happy recovery

Would someone please tell me why a bloke feels the need to shave his legs?

Does it really help you go faster or something?

Why not shave your eyebrows off as well while you're at it, at least you could pretend to be Ziggy Stardust to excuse the inherent campness of the spandex and hairless legs.

Speaking from experience there?

I'm sure some of us could come up with some nasty accident stories. What's the worse "scratch" you've ever had? Cut my thumb to the bone once, with a handsaw. I've no doubt someone out there (probably several) can top that. BTW, road rash is nasty, but no stitches??? C'mon, get a real injury....

It has less to do with wind resistance and more with the images displayed. Hardcore cyclists get a lot of cuts on their legs. If you have very hairy legs, it's no fun slapping on a bandage and then pulling off the bandage later along with a lot of hair. Quite painful. So the solution is to shave the legs.
