This a shout-out to ANYONE who is interested in KICKBALL.
I was online the other day and noticed that there are big waves being made stateside about a new recreational activity for adults: Kickball. Apparently it's sweeping the country and leagues are being established from Maine to California. I checked out the WAKA website and found it all to be a blast from the past. (Don't you remember playing Kickball at recess or P.E.?)
Seriously, it brings a smile to anyone's face when you think that YOU, yes YOU could be playing the amazing game of KICKBALL once more.
I've been in contact with the league headquarters and trying to get a league set up in Korea...
What i am wondering is...
1. Who's interested?
2. Who's interested in organizing some teams?
3. Where could we play? (Preferably grass..don't want some rocks embedded in my leg)
I was thinking at one of these riverside parks they might have a big open field to take advantage of...
check out the website for more info

I'd be down for some of that. It'd take me back to my fourth-grade glory days. (We should talk about setting up a dodgeball league, too).
I'd suggest a local school yard. They're mostly empty on Sundays and have big fenced areas that'd be great for such a game. All we'd have to do is bring the ball and the bases. I wonder if the riverside parks would be wide enough to allow for fouls and whatnot. Besides, you'd get a lot of wandering morons walking straight into your game (the ultimate frisbee players used to complain about this a lot). Perhaps a school yard would insulate things a bit. |

I'm not up for kickball, but if you guys are down for arm wrestling, I know quite a few people who are out of practice and would love to smack some knuckles down. |

COME ON....it's KICKBALL People.
How fun would it be to grab a few brews, and get some league action going?
Perhaps some hogwons/schools could get a league together????
Just an idea.
Let me know if you're interested. |

I have a friend who joined a league in Washington D.C. several years ago and I've been itching to play. I think the place to play is Riverside Park or Yonsei University. Let's spread the word ASAP. |
