By the romanization I thought you meant chungju. Fortunately, you included the Korean. I've never understood much of the romanization. I think the purpose is for tourism/foreigners. Then why not write it like it sounds? Choongjoo. Drives me crazy! Evil or Very Mad

Sorry for the rant.

The wife is from Choongjoo. Apparently there's a pretty big dam in the area. I haven't been yet. Embarassed They also used to do some MBC filming close to her home. But, I think it burned down and there's nothing there anymore. Mountains. Confused

I am in Chungjoo right now. Seems like TC and I had a similar idea. So far, the extent of my daily activities today were, find emart, get a mcflurry, find a nice love hotel... get the "nicest room in chungjoo" , break the hot tub, screw around with a sex chair, eat some samgyupsal, buy some wine, and come back here and watch a movie or check out daves.

eeeek. This town seems pretty dull. Who the heck works here and what do you do?

What made you guys decide to go there? Did you hear it was nice? Just wondering, because I have never heard anything about it.

The only thing my travel guide mentions is the lake (ȣ).
Quote:
Chungjuho Lake, 80 miles southeast of Seoul, offers a wide variety of water sports in the mountainous area of central Korea. Pleasure ferries ply the 32-mile-long waterway between Chungju and Danyang. Passengers can also enjoy a stunning view of Danyang Palgyeong, the "Eight Senic Wonders" of the limestone region surrounding Danyang.
Hope this is some help. Enjoy your time off.
