(This is just an example... But I am considering my options )
If I already have a cell phone (I'll buy it off another expat... it's not hooked up to a service anymore), how much would I end up paying for the service? If I already have the phone itself, would I still have to pay that foreigner's deposit of 200,000 won?
A friend from Seoul told me that if I already have a phone, I would only have to pay about 30,000 won per month for local service. Is that true?

I just got to Korea, and I'll be getting a cell phone soon, but it was suggested to me that I get a phone that you just pay as you go (buy a phone card, punch the # in, bang, you have so-many minutes).
do you know whether its better to get a plan? |
