How many of you actually import things you miss from home?

Hey all. I must say....I have been here a year (as of Aug. 29). I miss A LOT of stuff from home. Every few months, I have my sister mail me a package. Shipping is usually around $120 USD (It's heavy Very Happy ). Some of the things I import are:

hot sauce (sorry....but cuban hot sauce is the best....IMHO)
black beans
seasonings (McCormick rocks)
sazon con asafron (I use this to make my yellow rice and chicken)
etc.

What do you guys miss that you either:
A - import
B - wish you would import

I leave in two weeks and would like to give my spice collection to someone who will use it.

I wish I could import all the ingredients of my fave dinner/pudding.

Regular good ol' butter and cheese. Veges that I actually know the names of and how to cook. A big slab of mutton mmmmm...

Unfortunately I dont have a stove so the best dishes would be uncookable, or tast different because of different cooking anyway.

However, my mum does send some small treats with packages, like crunchie bars, moros, mixed lollies etc.

Actually the food isnt a big thing at the mo, but Ive only been here a few months! I try not to think about it!

moros? You mean the spanish word moros? Shocked

Spices become increasingly available, but the Cuban speciality stuff is not available here. I go to Miami every December and stock up on such stuff as seasonings and black beans- but a good hunk of well aged ham on the bone is just not an option- the stuff at Costco does not make it really for beans.

Which Cuban hot sauce do you use? I prefer Haitian myself. Cool

Nope its a chocalate bar in New Zealand.

I get protein bars sent, black liquorice, and deodorant.
I wish I could get Red Bull, but the suckers are heavy and it could leak over everything if the pressure was right.

You can get fairly decent mutton/lamb/hogget from the halal butcher near the mosque in Itaewon. Its around 10 bucks for 2 kilos. I use it for stews and curries.

I'm lucky to know quite a few people who go back to Oz on a regular basis, so I always get a care package of Bundy Rum (OP of course) and Vegemite on a regular basis.
