I think that the worst thing about the situation is that he already said that he wouldn't leave. Rafa said that he wants Gerrard to be the next Liverpool coach and manager but I think that was a desperate attempt to hold on to him. He will be known as a Liverpool hero but now a traitor. He certainly didn't take Liverpool as far as they could go. Also I heard that Liverpool asked him 3 times last season to talk about the contract but he kept saying wait. I guess he wanted to go anyway.

Well at least the money that we will get for him can be used to find a replacement for him. I really hope that he won't go to Chelsea or any English club. Hope that he @#%$ off to Spain.

Now the BBC is reporting that he's decided to stay?!? I don't know what's going on anymore. I'll just wait til the new contract is signed and then it'll be for sure.

Well, this thread had slipped down to page 5! Page 5!

OK, we're just over 3 weeks to the start of the new season. Just to confirm, I have the following posters signed up for the league...

1. kprrok
2. eamo
3. livinginkorea
4. trigger123
5. sparx
6. davyteacher
7. lawyertood
8. indytrucks
9. Neil
10.Billy Pilgrim
11.nev
12.Confused Canadian
13.TheLeek
14.Ronald Claw
15.Lawro

Have I missed anyone? All are welcome to join in. Just refer to the first page on how the league is run.

Also, are we going to do a CL side-prediction league once the group stages start? I'm all for it, and we've got some time to decide.

And as a side-bet, I propose the following addendum to the competition:

1. Before the first match kicks off, post who you think will be the Champion, Runner-up, and who will be relegated. At the end of the season, you will receive the following bonus points for correct guesses:
.....a) For champion: 1 point
.....b) For runner-up: 1 point
.....c) For relegation: 1 point per correct, 5 points for all 3 correct
.....d) For all correct: 10 points
.....e) No more than 10 bonus points can be earned through this way.

What do you all think?

Sign up now before it gets to be too late. First week fixtures will be posted on the Tuesday before the matches start.

See you all in the competition...

Would an EPL kick-off party/get-together be in order for that weekend (Aug.13/14)?

I'd be game for that lawyertood, but you all would have to come down to Jeju for it! I'm not going to be able to go to Seoul that weekend as I'll be going to Marado with my girlfriend for a couple days of camping.

Come to think of it, if any of you are coming down to Jeju for holiday or anything, let me know and I can meet up with ya and give ya a hand with stuff.

Hey everyone. I joined the Free Fantasy EPL league over at premierleague.com and started my own "league" with a couple of my friends and thought I'd invite you all to join for a little side competition.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you the code you need to join. Basically, you get 100 million to pick 2 keepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 3 strikers. You can transfer during the season, etc. etc. Each position gets points and stuff and the best team wins. Looks interesting for a free competition.

Cheers
