|
|
After be away for a few years, I am coming back to Korea shortly. I have purchased a new digital camera and a foreign electricity converter kit so I can recharge the batteries for my new camera. However, I am a little confused about something. The electricity converter plug, which I purchased and that is supposed to go into the Korean outlet, looks slightly different than the plug that is at the end of a lamp that I own and originally purchased in Korea. In comparing the two, the lamp plug is slightly thicker than the converter plug.
Are Electricity Converter Kits fairly standard, internationally?
Have you ever had difficulties with using an electricty converter kit in Korea that you purchased in your home country?
If my kit doesn't work, where can I purchase one in Seoul that will allow me to use my battery charger?
Thanks for your help. |

It should work for you. I bought a little adapter in Thailand and while it doesn't fit as tight as Korean plugs in Korean outlets it works for my iPod just fine. If it doesn't then power converters are a dime a dozen..well not that cheap but you know what I mean. They are common come with two 110 V outlets and can be bought for about 10-15000 won. Very common in Yongsan and basically any other hardware store. They even have them at Carrefour. |
