I have a Compaq/HP laptop. I second what Giant said. I game on it (over excessively if you ask my GF) and push it. The notebook holds up and I've never had a problem with it.
I would have no problems recommending a HP/Compaq laptop. |

i've had my compaq laptop for 3 1/2 years, and i've never had a problem with it. it's strange that everyone has different experiences with the same brand. I wonder if the big differences are how they used the computer, and how clean they kept it, and how often they defragmented and things like that, or....if it all depends on which factory worker actually put the individual computer together...
because I've read so many bad and good reviews about the exact same laptop that there has to be an underlying reason for so many diverse experiences... |

| I wonder if it's product lines; And companies can go from good to bad to good to bad over time (Toshiba). You guys should post the model# of the Compaq laptops, maybe there's a particular line everyone should be avoiding. |
