That's pretty odd. I wonder what the purpose of that map is. Since when did Oxford become the name of a sea? |

Thats exactly it. Although surely you would include canada.
the world map grows with korean age. By the time they're 35, you can add France (sophisticated language), italy (fashion) and Netherlands (Hiddink) to the world view.
Aprika is also represented by a flag sporting some bongo drums, and thailand by a red-lit flag. |

I would have put 3 dots instead of America: NYC, LA, Vancouver. |

Probably don't have to include the whole thing... just the dots for Vancouver and Toronto placed somewhere inside the United States instead. |

Asian maps usually put the eastern hemisphere on the left side, so east asian countries like Korea are near the center. I would redraw your map with a significantly larger Korea (at least twice the size of japan), placed near the center, and ONLY ONE KOREA. The DMZ is just a "wall of love" or a "wildlife sanctuary" or something of that sort, not a political division. Don't know know?

On US maps, every country appears in its proper place. We simply prefer the call the Earth "the USA." |

What does "eastern hemisphere" mean? Never heard that one before. Countries putting there own territories in the middle of maps is not uncommon - in NZ we put NZ's islands in the centre of the map - the Pacific Ocean being the middle, with Asia and a distant Africa and Europe to the left, and the Americas to the right. I have seen Russian and European maps with their territories in the centre also (NZ appears to the far, far bottom right). |

Don't hate the US now. Just because American's prefer to have a capitalistic society rather than a socialistic society doesn't mean it's bad. American's aren't in the top teir nations because they decided to listen to what everyone else wanted. America is here because those that fled persecution and death found a land where they could be themselves; striving for the best, being defeat only when one felt their limit was reached.
America, land of the immigrants, was created in the image of being free, to do as you please, to strive for what you want. THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how America became a top competitor in this world. The blood, sweat, and tears of the past Americans enabled what is today. American's weren't so wrapped up in, "oh...what is going to be good for curley sue" or "oh, we should all play nice". America simply reacted to the changing world. Do we really need to revisit how the US was brought into World War I & II? Ironic it is when everyone bashes the US during peacetime, but when S#(@ hits the fan, who is the first country EVERYONE turns to for resolve?
I will beat you guys to the punch, I hate Bush. He is running The United States as if it were a business. I can't wait for him to be oused from The Presidency. We need someone that isn't so wrapped up in other peoples' business. We need someone that is going to be for the people, not for the dollar. Enough said. |
