Peter Jennings became American because his kids are being raised in a country gone mad with nativist xenophobia and retained his Canadian citizenship after becoming American. He was denounced by the rabid American right after 9/11 simply for being Canadian and had to cope with an environment that now treats Canadians as potential security threats. He didn't see the light, he was dying of cancer in a country suddenly pre-occupied with labelling, exclusion and racial profiling. It's a sentiment familiar to most Canadians that have met Americans in the past 4 years. |

Really? I'd be hard pressed to think of a single American I've met in the past few years who cared one way or another that I was Canadian. |

Either a) good satire or b) you're extremely paranoid and totally out of touch with the American public (perhaps been in Korea too long? IDK)
The "rabid" American right didn't care about Jennings; it has been too focused on Dan Rather and other parts of the "liberal" media. |

Sometimes Americans tease Canadians because its fun. Sometimes we want to be teased back. It should all be in good fun. When it isn't, on either side, it is really kinda sad. |

And does anyone else know that Peter Jennings is a fucking Canadian? Talk about a sleeper cell. Why isnt that guy being interogated at Gitmo? Ill tell you why- hes a Canadian and so he is too nice. Nobody wants to trample on that. |

Libs would rather lie about the strong economy...than report it.
Last night on Peter Jennings he started this news stroy as follows.............
"And now we got to a report that says that the US economy is ACTUALLY....doing BETTER!"
As Peter rolls his eyes and clearly makes the point that he doesn't believe it.
...fucking Canadian piece of shit! |

Yes. So you found 5 blogs, congrats. Here's what i found when typing in "f--ck" and "USA"
Quote: |
*beep* YOU MOTHERFUCKERS, USA SUCKS AND SO DO YOU ASSHOLES. HEAR THE MESSAGE FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD: WE HATE YOU AND WE WILL DESTROY YOU. |
Site #1
Quote: |
ALL I CAN SAY IS *beep* USA, *beep* BUSH< *beep* EVERYRY SINGLE AMERICAN THAT SUPPORTS WAR< AND HOPE BINLADEN SOON ATTACKS USA< BUT THIS TIME MAKE HARDER JUST BLOW THE MOTHER FUCKERS BRAINS OUT LIKE LITTLE TINY PIECES OF SHIT LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL *beep* USA
PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE |
Site #2
Ok, now this is what I get from a search of "hate america"
Quote: |
i hate fucking americans. i am an australian. americans have screwed this country right up with there fast foods and shit they have brought over. because of that australia is turning into a mirror image of america. the influence america has put on the children of australia have got them fucking thinking they are black and acting all black rapper like. i know its there choice to act that way but if it wasnt for americans then they would never have that influence in the first place. of course this is just my opinion but i still say *beep* you americans and get the *beep* outta this country and go *beep* up your own some more with your wars and fast food and shit.
|
Site #3
And below that:
Quote: |
i am canadian and i also fuckin hate america. american influence is even worse here. *beep* usa. |
That whole thread is devoted to bashing america, so let's move on:
A Blog Devoted to Bashing America from a Brit
Quote: |
Don't you just hate Americans? Everything about them is so utterly crass, so second-rate – from the sloppy way they dress to their junk food and whinging nasal twang. |
So ok, you're thinking, "well crap, there is reason to hate americans while no one should hate us poor canadians!" Fine. Nevertheless, judging by those posts, I should have tons of problems traveling throughout the world. Yet you know how many times people have talked trash about the Americans to my face? less than five. I can think of two instances.
Point being blogs don't always represent mainstream thought. I'd think you'd be able to pull out some personal experiences to back up your thoughts and feelings, but alas, you have to resort to blogs written by strangers who you will never meet. Yes, you are paranoid. |

The Americans? All of them were jokes.
Oh, the lines. Well, most of them were from people I had never met before. So, if they were joking I didn't really get it. It's a quirk common to Americans, but it never fails to offend.
"I'm from the US."
"Oh, shoot anyone today?
Hahahahhaha. I think it's hilarious. Why aren't you laughing? |
