i just spent the weekend in busan with muh gurl.
we noticed that the city is just generally mellower, the people seem like they are happier and are less stuffy about having a good time, and are a lot more outgoing.
and when i say "outgoing", i mean it in a general sense - not just for the 'hello's but also from grumpy ajossis talking shit to you.
the 'hello's from children seemed more sincere, and the grumpiness seemed, while grumpier, more reasonable. i don't have a long story to back that up, i'm just talking about mood.
or maybe i was just on holiday and my perception was different... |

I find Busan people dress more casually sort of "beachy" in a way, but the people seem to be very rough and tough. Scrappier and not as sophisticated as Seoulites.
I think the narrow roads and congestion within the city gives it an unhealthy effect. The people stare at me like a freakshow. Though I love the ocean and milder climate, it's very much a "small town" with many people crammed into it.
Yet, that Irish bar there really kicks butt!! |

Went to Busan a couple of weeks ago, and a trio of Ajummas on the subway were flirting and joking with me. I don't see that happening in Seoul. Busan almost didn't seem like Korea - more like Korussia I guess. |
