The problem is, you have not given Islam time enough to adjust on its own.

And how much time shall we give it? Ten years, fifty years, a hundred years? The point is that people are not prepared to endure years of Islamic violence while they wait for it to reform. This even assumes that Islam is actually capable of reform. As long Islamic states and organisations continue to propogate violence and oppression they must be opposed.

Perhaps the smart way to combat Islamic terror is to deny it a voice. bar it from the media entirely- a bit like China. then come down hard on it.
And cover up all terrorist acts as the doings of people angry at having lung cancer. Rolling Eyes Wink

'Dirty muslims running around'? What are you talking about?

In order to combat the global Islamic Jihad we need to do a number of things.

To protect the West from Islamic influence, and thus its inherent violence and intolerance, we must end all immigration from muslim nations, and seriously clamp down on those who advocate, excuse or sanction violence. Failed policies of multiculturalism must end, whereby immigrant communities have been encouraged to develop separately and maintain their culture.

So all people from "muslims nations" should be banned from migrating to "western nations?" ahh....thats a good idea! so muslims from india, korea, the phillipines etc will be welcome, but all people from saudi, iran, pakistan etc will be banned? brilliant! that will solve all of our problems!

Lastly, we must make sure that no more muslim countries get their hands on nuclear weapons. The risk of them falling, or being given, into the wrong hands is simply too great.

but we can still have them, right?

This is a clash of civilizations, which until Islam is reformed cannot be avoided. I don't care much what kind of backward, medieval states muslims want to put in place for their own countries. Let's leave them to enjoy the wonders of Shariah, while we enjoy democracy and liberty.

this isnt a clash of civilizations. this is a small minority of the muslim world terrorising the rest of the world. this is a small minority of the non-muslim world thinking that the muslim world is their enemy. nothing more.

Ask China. they've done a great job suppressing it.

here's how:
1) keeps its muslim communities separated from other muslim communities in Asia that are rife with terrorist cells and ideology.
2)Clamped down savagely on violent dissenters: arrested or shot 100's where and when they have rioted.
3) Executed over 200 convicted terrorists.
4) Replaced indigenous Islamic tolerant cadres with those considered to be loyal to the central government. The newcadres have employed a campaign of vigilance to crush the East Turkestan terrorists who have ties to Osama bin Laden.
5) Denied Muslim ideology an outlet in national media.
6) Do not publicise islamic terror acts, or explain them away with a variety of other motives eg "The suicide bomber had lung cancer". This way the terrorists can not spread terror through the media, and society continues on working unnafected.

I don't have a problem with less Muslim immigration, I'd prefer a zero for quite some time. I think its OK to acknowledge there is a problem and to have some restraint is a good idea. Watch what will happen if you try to say no. Islam is also a politic. You can discrimiate against that. If its not, Islam is the most perfect form of government ever created simply because its a religion and therefore off limits to criticism. For instance, Iran is most perfect country in the history of man.

On a practical note, I'm tired of The West giving so much and then getting nothing in return. What do I get? A $2,000 year job in Jordan plus daily bullying plus political oppression plus racial discrimination plus religious discrimination. It's very misleading for bash people about with terms of tolerance. Its so much more than that.

Good Muslims like fundamenntalism. The Afghanis actually liked the Taleban. Good Muslims are only annoyed by the extremists because they bring the heat on. Iranians like the fundamental government. They easily overthrew The US backed Shah which means they took on the USA and won but they can't overthrow the clerics. I think not, I think they are quite happy with things there.

I'm not interested in reading the Koran. In fact, its pretty far down on my list of things to read yet I have to read it or somehow I have it forced on me becuase my life is in danger. They are winning.
