i knew it would happen eventually, but i wiped out majorly today on the stairs for the underpass. they're so slipperly everyday that it's rained, i've said to myself, "one day i'm going to kill myself on these things." why, in a country where it rains all the time, would they make stairs out of slippery stuf??

I have also slipped on those apart-stairs, but my peeve is that someone has been regularly peeing on a set of stairs next to my place over the last few weeks. Every morning, I hold my breath on the pee stairs. Sometimes it seems as though two people stood side by side and played light sabres, or had a race. I hope it's kids, and not drunks, cuz that somehow would be that much grosser.

I rarely fall but...

The other day I was on the bus and was being driven crazy by 4 Ajumma chatting away. For 30 minutes I tried to give them dirty looks but they were oblivious.

Finally we pulled into my stop and of course, they got out right in front of me! I'd had enough, so I decided to pass them on the shoulder. It had rained though so it was really wet and... well, I slipped. I didn't fall into the street, but I instead stumbled along for a few meeters doing the funky chicken.

I finally stopped when I fell into some young Aggashi that yelled out "OHMO!"

I bet those Ajumma feel bad now eh?

Someone peed in the elevator in an apartment we lived in some years ago. Every week or so, it would happen. I would say to myself "I hope it's a kid, because if it's an adult I'll beat them bloody". After a few months of the urine terrorist, the elevator reeked and I always had to brace myself for the opening of the elevator door. Expect the worst, expect excrement! It was too much after a while, and I probably would have hit anyone I caught peeing in the elevator, it was so disgusting. We lived on the top floor, and didn't want to have guests over at all. Moved out before the peeing stopped.

BTW, thanks for the reminder.....

I'm tempted to set up a hidden motion-sensitive night-vision camera to figure out the mystery of the phantom diddler. I don't have money though. I bet it's the security guard. Day-old urine is gross.

Looks good. Polished stone stairs. Looks are more important. Sure are slippery when wet. Like you, I've always known I will wipe out one day. They await, those glistening steps, like vipers.

I beg to differ, dear boy. Don't knock one of the finest libations in the land until you have partaken of its splendour.

However, week-old ajosshi piss beats it hands down.

I've never (knowingly) had a sip of anyone's urine in my life. Now I have had Pocari Sweat. Thought I was buying water the first time - a shock. I thought 'what or who is pocari, and why am I drinking its sweat?'.
Pee on steps update: no pee for over a week. Good.

Because no judge will give out a big settlement to the family of some poor old almoni who cracked her skull while thumbling down the stairs. Look at the pittance that is awarded when people are injured by a motorist.

It's a tough decision to have to choose between drinking someone else's urine and drinking Pocari Sweat. Actually, I don't think that there's really any difference at all.
