Hi,
I gave my resignation last week. My boss and I agreed that I would stay on for at least a month so a replacement could be found. My boss also said she would give me a Release Letter. Well my earliest last day, as agreed upon August 11th, has been changed by my boss. She informed me yesterday that my last day will be on the 26th of this month.
So here is where the visa confusion comes in. If I was staying at the school I am with now I was suppose to report to immigration by September 6th, which is three months after my visa run, but know I will be switching schools so I am not sure what I am required to do in regards to my visa. Do I have to leave the country after 14 days? Will the new school be able to process the application in time so I can get the blue slip. They just got sealed transcripts from me a couple of months ago. Do I have to send away for one, again? Also is this notice legal? It is not so based on my contract.

| when you go to immigration with your release letter to immigration you will have 14 days to leave the country. The day you go there with your release letter also go with the paper work for the visa for you new job. THey should be able to process it before the 14 days are up. Once the paper work is done go to Japan for the visa run for your new job. once you are back in korea you will be on your new visa and every thing will be good. Hope this helps you. |
