If you ever want to pick a well-deserved fight with sneaky Koreans, I
suggest you and your mob hunker down at WaBar for a couple pitchers
of Guinness. The menu says Guinness and gives no indication that you should expect less.

Some friends and I went to WaBar for a round after
work and ordered "a pitcher of Guinness". Turns out that it was a Korean version of a "black and tan" made with Cass or Shite. When we voiced our disappointment to the manager he told us it was a "Korean-style" pitcher of stout, hence the pale color and lack of stout flavor. He didn't relent and
we didn't kick up the noise we should've made to get him to lower the
20,000 we paid for ONE pitcher of cheap swill with brown food coloring.

Well you're an idiot for trying to buy a pitcher of Guinness in the first place. It should never ever be drunk from a pitcher or not even a mug really, only pint glasses. A pitcher of Guinness is flucking sacrilege.
Anyhow, the best Guinness you'll find outside of Ireland is probably the "Draft" cans. I know you can get them at Carrefour for 3,500 won. Not cheap but definitely delicious.

gecko's will serve you a pitcher of guinness. and it's real guinness.

why one would want to do that to him or her self is beyond me. there's something about the chemical/spiritual makeup of guinness that makes it only fit properly in a pint glass. any other container and the experience is sullied.

After living in a place (Portland, Oregon) where microbrews like The Old Lompoc, Bridgeport, Deshcute's, Full Sail, Hair of the Dog, Rogue Ale, McMenamin's, Delerium, and even Widmer were the standard for any night out...I'll take my chances with an UNDILUTED pitcher of Guinness over that swill people call beer here (with the exception of OB). You don't have to be an idiot, you just have to be sick enough of Cass and Hite.

Again, I have to say I can't believe a nation of avowed alcoholics drink such substandard shit out of such tiny glasses. Grow a pair already.

Ah yes. I remember fondly some decent Oregon microbrews from my Seattle days. I always have to laugh at my fellow Canadians who think Labatts is the ultimate achievement in beer making because Americans drink Bud. It's like thumping your chest and saying "oh we drink a less odious form of piss!"

Yeah, Americans who love beer have no end of choice in terms of great microbrews.
