I think I have almost always been real in my posts, and tend to reveal a rather troubled soul. I make no apology for that fact.

But those who know me (from this board or not) in real life regard me as somewhat normal and not that troubled.

Why would there be this difference? Why do I reveal more personal stuff here than I would to people I know? Safety in strangers?

Why does the dark stuff come forth in print, and in person all is cool?

I think it is the 'sitting in front of the keyboard factor' for me. I have always liked to write depths of moods down. And I am not embarrassed because writing is personal, and seems natural to me.

In person I want the other to be comfortable because I have compassion. In person we shall care about each other and try to help each other and have a good time.

Posting here is lonesome, and darkness screams for a voice....

Maybe?

I guess so... my online personality has little to do with my RL personality. In real life I'm charming and witty.

The internet is not real. It does appear that people do take it too seriously though.

I really post what I feel like, when I feel like, with very slightly less restraint than I excersize in real life.

But I pretty accurately portray my real thoughts.

Except.....My online comments tend to be made under the influence

And I'm somewhat more eloquent when writing, therefore I say more in writing.

my online personality is nothing like real life..
here I say what ever comes to mind! I say what I feel about a situation etc.. I am very blunt and straight to the point! I dont hold back and say it as it is.. im always honest in real life and on this board!
I try to answer noob questions as much as I can. I get into a few debates everynow and then on here , but not many..

in real life, im very calm and chilled.. people will all tell you same for those who have met me in real life..

Like my avatar, I pontificate in real life just as I pontificate here. The only things I don't do here are smoke and bonk.

I leak pieces of my personality into my writing on here, but my opinions are my own not a character I have created.
I think most of us here do that, the image we have of the person we're reading is probably nothing like the real thing, but I'm sure that if we got to know someone in person we would see the daves character in them somewhere.
I'm not sure about Hwajangsil Ajumma though I think she is the real thing, nothing but Bek Se Ju, rubber gloves and floor cleaner there.

For me it's the opposite; I'm just as boring in real life.
