Why does it seem like whenever a study comes out confirming the seemingly obvious, it's the work of British researchers?
As a side note, I've always found intelligence to be far more important in a man than his bank balance. |

I've heard many women say such things when discussing the attractive attributes of the opposite sex. All fine and dandy, but oddly enough, often the women who promote these concepts also happen to be the same women who are going out with the biggest jerks in town. Strange. |

Men and women can be equally shallow. Men go for looks, Women go for money and/or looks. Then wonder why they get burnt when they get cast off for a better model.
I like guys who smell nice and are nice. |

I don't see much of a lineup in front of Bill Gates.. and it seems to me there would be more girlie fan pages for Brad Pitt than Prince Charles..
Trying to find one variable which explains all human attractions is pretty silly.. but nothing's too silly for professors trying to get tenure.

Maybe it's not the best comparison. But Prince Charles must be richer, isn't he? Well-- how about one of the American Idol guys? They probably get more chix than David Bowie does, and he's incredibly wealthy. Not sure my argument is going anywhere.

In the form of money of course, I dont deny it. Whether its mine or his it doesnt matter as long as its there. However, its nice to think that when I am pregnant and unable to work, that he can still support me and the baby.
I dont go for guys because they are rich, but they do have to able to at least support themselves, and me when I cant (ie pregnancy). Im all for working mums as well, but there has to be enough money to pay for childcare on top of everything else.
More money is of course better, because money equals opportunity. Opportunity for education, travel and life experience. Again I am referring to this on a family level... not having to worry about limited opportunities for your children would be great.
I can support myself fine, Im here in Korea working and travelling - I have had this opportunity.... I have travelled, been to a private school and attended 4 years of university. It would be great to offer my own children the same, and even more. I dont date guys becasue they have a lot of money, but if it is going to get serious then as I said, at the VERY least, they need to be able to support themselves. That does not mean they have to be rich.
But thats just me.
But hey, Im not anywhere near that point anyways so its not a big deal... |

When men stop judging us on our looks then we can stop judging them by their bank account.
I frequently come across the attitude, primarily from men, that it is perfectly fine to judge a woman almost exclusively on physical appearance, yet if we judge them based on money, then we are shallow.
Both are stupid and shallow. |
Not shallow but necessary... It is a biological imperative that the man find the female attractive enough to produce an erection. No boner, no baby! |

Based on first hand experiencing, dealing with a lot of beautiful young women, I find they tend to go for the alpha male. By this I mean the guy with the most self-confidence and the best looks. For example, I have a few friends who are exotic dancers and they get proposals from men with money all the time ( I'm not just talking indecent proposals) but with whom do they end up? The cute young, abusive, unemployed mooch. I think women get to a certain age, or level of maturity where they start to look for something else. Sometimes its money and sometimes its a series of other qualities. They've learned what works for them and what has been a mistake in the past. I find that a lot of these "nice" guys who strike out are chasing really young women who haven't yet sown their wild oats. There ar ea lot of nice ( be it picky) women out there with experience under their belts who aren't shallow. |

Given enough "experience under their belts," they might not be able to manage "shallow" even if they wanted to. |

Bullocks!! You think really unattractive women cant get there partners 'ready for action'? Besides, if you dont give them a chance to try, how do you know?
Its about kudos.... guys want to be SEEN with beautiful women, and want to SLEEP with them (or at least hint to their mates that they are), even if they have the personality of a potato. Long term it may not work out, but it wont stop em trying! |

My russian friends(female) keep their expectations real simple.
The dude must be able to support three. I think that's logical.
Semantics involved in deciphering the idiosyncries of fickle youth become all encompassing for those involved. The best years are probable less than than most "players" want to be aware of and "values" are as likely to shift as clientele turnover in a once happening club.
Is it true that K-gals reel in the worlds most eligible bachelors? Not quite sure but according to the Century Travellers Club(you must have visited 100 countries to join) there are 317(316?) recognized countries in the world(that's a lot of competing females). Looking at the most eligible catches in the world in terms of presentation attractiveness, talents, fame, money; Hollywood is the Mecca. K-gals seem to be well represented in Hollywood and Vegas out-pacing/out-classing the polished yankee gals in landing Mr. Right/s |
