I have recently arrived here and am living in Daechi.

I ate at the Outback last week and thought it was terrible.

I ate at Black Angus and ate a truly phenomenal steak.

Are there any other places that sell steak as good as that?

Thanks in advance.

NO.

Don't go to Eric's or VIP's, Carol says Tony Roma's is "okay".

I don't eat steak, but I hear Sizzler is good. There are several around. Oh, and their buffet has decent guacamole(...off-topic, sorry.) One in Daehangno and one in Gangnam. PM for details.

I'm probably going to check out Angus at the weekend. Is it really that good, my mate who is a part owner said it was amazing and that's why he put a crap load of money into the business.

I need to check it out, I like a good steak and love a fantastic one.

PS. Hollywood Bar and Grill and also 3 Alley Pub in Itaewon also do great steaks and the atmosphere is a bit different, they're also cheaper than 'family restraunts'. Pool tables and darts boards give you something interesting to do before and after your meal.

I generally avoid family restraunts as they are only worth going to for ribs IMHO, I love the ribs at outback and romas. I wish there was a decent rib place in Seoul besides these. The 'Hot Ribs' in Hongdae is a great idea but the food is actually pretty mediocre, it is cheapish though. If they got the quality up that place would be a winner but it's nowhere near yet.

Many people skip the hotels, thinking they're too expensive. Well, honestly, for a good steak, they aren't. I too am a big fan of the Australian Grill at Intercon.

One other place, that I can recall the name for, is halfway up the hill from Itaewon towards the Hyatt. Pretty close to that Fiji Island/Mexican joint (which I've heard is crap but never been.) Very small, white table cloths, best steak I ever had, actually had to stop in the middle and call a friend to tell him about it.

naa I havent.. ok it was an exaggeration hahahahaha
but its all aussie beef! so it all comes down to which steak your order
lions, ribs, fillets, rumps etc..

all the places mentioned are using 100% aussie beef..
then it comes down to how it was cut, who is cooking it and of course how you are ordering it..
