Ok I am totally new to torrents and I have no idea what to do.

I have downloaded azureus and have signed up for demonoid.com (is that decent?)

Now what do I do? By the way I have a mac and am running OSX 10.9.3.

If I go onto demonoid then the options seem to be to download with http or udp tracker. With both I get an Error

Unhandeled file type

Internet explorer doesn know how to handle the type of file you have selected.
You can choose to save this file to your file or you can configure a helper application for this file.
MIME type: application/x-bitorrent

What??!!

Help what is this all about! And what can I do to download a few things?

Thanks.

eDonkey2k is turning a profit $$$

eMule does the same thing and is open source which means no one is trying to make a profit.

The most common problem with p2p clients is that you need to open the ports to which the data is been sent and received. Things like the XP SP2 firewall, routers, and antivirus programs need to be told not to block the ports used by the p2p clients or the file sharing will be slow or dead.
