Korea rarely has extreme weather. It is very lucky in this regard. But, Yeah, it looks like we are in for a soaking, maybe a little wind too. Thought if the storm head more north than east, then might not bring nothing but clouds.

Maybe my memory is failing me, but I don't remember so much heat, humidity and rain this far into September. Usually at Chusok I'm wearing at least a long sleeve shirt at night. What did you guys do to the weather while I was gone?

Yea, your memory is failing you. It's always hot as nuts in September.

Yes, Septembers in Korea are hotter than the summer in many other places.

Two years ago, on the days following Chuseok and immediately after typhoon Maemi, it was incredibly hot and humid, very sweaty weather for this then-newbie.

The funny thing is the locals think summer is over, and that thought is more powerful for them than the facts, so coats are worn by students on warm days, trips to the beach are stopped even though the water is still warm and air temp is 25 C and humid.

It will start cooling down in a couple of weeks...usually the week or 2 after Chuseok, although this one is a little early...

I thought the whole summer has been much cooler and drier than usual. Damn, I didn't switch my home a/c on until about 25 July and it has been off for the past 10 days .....
