Hey,

I'm looking to go home in a little over a month. I've never bought tickets online before and couldn't even figure out how to make the airlines take me to little old NZ. It's too out of the way I guess.

So I need a user-friendly travel agent who can get me on a preferably exceedingly cheap flight back to Wellington for mid-October. I swear I've only seen one travel agent here in the whole time I've been here.

Thanks

Its way cheap tp fly from Hong Kong to kiwi-land like $1000 return, so one way would be cheaper try www.lastminute.com.hk

Otherwise, you may need a Korean friend to check out some of the Korean online websites there are around.

If you are near Busan try www.kangsantravel.com

Or www.xanadu.co.kr for Seoul.

Or you can try www.zuji.com, but you'll need a Korean friend to translate the Korean pages.

I can recommend Annie at Kangsan Travel and Kyoung at Xanadu.

If you go to www.zuji.co.nz you can search and find out the different airlines that take you back to NZ, and get an idea of prices you might expect to pay in NZD (might not be so useful if your school/hagwon is paying) as well as flight schedules and duration.

If you are paying yourself and want to pay in NZD you can use ZUJI or a travel agent at home and just get issued with an E-Ticket. It is usually more expensive to buy tickets from outside the country of departure, however.

The only direct flight from Korea is with Korean Air, which is also usually the most expensive.
You can go via Japan, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore among other places. To get to Wellington you're going to have to fly into either Christchurch or Auckland anyways, unless you can get a direct connection from Australia.

If you are going to have more than the allowed 20kg of luggage, then you might want to consider taking Singapore Airlines - excellent service and all, plus they allow you up to 30kg for free (though I don't think they go telling everyone that).

All the best!
I was in Wellington up until last Tuesday and the weather was turning mighty fine.

On Freedom Air you can get great deals through to Wellington from Brisbane, and its's reasonable to fly through one-way to Brisbane and being a NZ passport holder there's no hassles with one-way tickets.

You could also do a cheap flight one-way to Hong Kong and fly from there, you can stay at backpackers for next to nothing and see another great Asian city while you wait a day for your flight, you can get direct flights flying nearly any airline to Auckland but not Wellington flying Cathay and Air NZ

Yea, can't you just email a NZ agent and ask them to book you a ticket (Kirsty at Freedom Air, Hamilton city central did wonders for me). She changed my flights and refunded my money when the airline charged me unexpected fees while in Korea.

airnewzealand.co.kr

In all honesty best bet is just finding are regular travel agent here. I use unique in itaewon and went home over christmas for 950K last year.
