That was funnier than I expected. Man I thought Courtney Love was gonna attack him for a second there. |

Yeah. It must be difficult to come up with new material for Pam. She's pretty much a walking punchline anyways.
On an unrelated note: Dave's ESL Cafe, we're fucking our way to the middle! |

That made me wince. Embarrassing. Goose bumps. The audience were laughing at first, then it got a bit cold in there. |

I'm getting old-- did it seem as funny as a cry for help to anyone else? Insulting Bea Arthur like this to her face? I don't like Courtney Love, but when she stood up in anger she should have belted him. Successful roasts don't make the audience think you're a total jerk.

I watched the first 15 or 20 minutes of that. Who told these comedians that the point was to use as many 4-letter words as possible? That is not the essence of comedy. |

Oh absolutely, and did you hear the potty mouth on that Sarah Silverman? This kind of talk won't win her a husband.
The whole point of "celebrity roast" program is to insult people in the most creative way possible- it was quality from start to finish. |

I agree that the guy that "roasted" Pamela crossed way too many lines of propriety...
This is a tv program, no? Then the point for these unknown standups would most likely be to get noticed any way they can. "Did you hear what that guy said about Pam Anderson?" "Yeah! Who was that guy?" |

The guy started tanking right after the Methadone line (which was great), but it was pretty lame. Especially compared to the Dean Martin Roasts, which never used profanity to get their point across. |

Your idea of creative and my idea of creative differ. It's what makes horse races. |
