I'm planning on traveling to Seoul at the end of this month to look for jobs in the Seoul area. What are some tips for finding jobs while in Korea? Any good recruiters or websites for ASAP jobs? Thanks! |

2. from US, Can, UK, Ire, Aus, New Z, SA.
3. Pulse.

Shop around and take your time. Don't settle for the first offer you get. There are plenty of jobs out there, some of which pay slightly higher wages than others. Also, visit the school, meet the director, talk to current teachers and ask to see the accommodation before you sign on the dotted line. It's all just common sense really. |

Is it realistic to say that I could find a good job in or less than a week if really work at it? |

It's possible if you hit the tarmac running and visit at least 4/5 schools in a day. Although if you want to find a really good school then give yourself two weeks just to be sure. |

Fair enough... Anybody know any good cheap motels, guesthouses, or homestays in Seoul for a short amount of time? From previous experience this is a good one (http://wwww.koreaguesthouse.co.kr/), but I stayed there 3 years ago. |

yep, finding a job should be no problem if you are here. when i looked for a job while i was in korea, i got six offers in about two days. and i'm not the traditional looking (blonde hair, blue eyes, white skin) westerner.
definitely don't take the first offer given, tell ANYONE you have to think about it first, just to see if you get better offers at the next school you visit. take a copy of the contract and have another foreign teacher look at it to make sure everything is covered. anything that is not in the contract is not provided, so make sure everything you want is included. |
