Just wondering if I'm the only one in Korea who listens to country (excluding some of the U.S. soldiers)..
I heard some famous actress was dating Keith Urban. Can't remember who..
I posted this cuz I have "Fast Cars and Freedom" stuck in my head. Been my fav song for the past few months now.
Think I'll click on y100fm.com to see what's playing now..
Yee-haw! =) |

No, I too listen to country music. But I don't think I've ever said Yee-haw!
Nicole Kidman seen with Keith Urban; sometimes I think Google is my best friend. Thanks for the radio station, I used to listen to the radio thru Yahoos Messenger, but my office cracked down.
there might be a little dust on the bottle..
Oh, yea. It makes me think Im home again.
The quality kind of sucks thought. |

Yeah, I like country music.
I seldom listen to it, but when I do, I usually like it. |

Anytime I'm DJing, I usually throw on some Willie Nelson or Johnny Cash--populist enough to keep people going.
In my free time, however, it's Dwight Yoakam, Charley Pride, Hank Williams Sr. and III. Charley's still the king. |

One of my Korean co-workers asked me to make some country music CDs for us to listen to in our office. However, I don't really know which country artists are good.
Any suggestions? |

I like the old-time country music. Used to play and sing at the Old-Time Fiddlers shindigs in Southern Oregon. Haven't touched a guitar in nearly six month, here. Gotta get me one to get me through the long winter.....
Brought just one CD set with me, Johnny Cash's 5-CD collection released last year. |

Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains, shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my memries, gather round her
Miners lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice, in the mornin hours she calls to me
The radio reminds me of my home far a-way
And drivin down the road I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

Forget George Jones and Jerry Reed, but try some Toby Keith and Blake Shelton (two of my favorites) |

Chorus
Song, song of the south.
Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth.
Gone, gone with the wind.
There aint nobody looking back again.
Cotton on the roadside, cotton in the ditch.
We all picked the cotton but we never got rich.
Daddy was a veteran, a southern democrat.
They oughta get a rich man to vote like that.
Sing it...
Chorus
Well somebody told us wall street fell
But we were so poor that we couldnt tell.
Cotton was short and the weeds were tall
But mr. roosevelts a gonna save us all.
Well momma got sick and daddy got down.
The county got the farm and they moved to town.
Pappa got a job with the tva
He bought a washing machine and then a chevrolet.
Sing it...
Chorus
Play it...
Sing it...
Chorus
Song, song of the south...
Gone, gone with the wind...
Song, song of the south.
Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth.
Song, song of the south.
Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth.
Sing it...
Chorus 2x |
