Funny, I immediatey thought she looked like Liv Tyler as well.

So what is the Korean male reaction to her? I find it odd that Korean women get the plastic surgery for bigger noses to look more western, so I wonder what Koreans think of mixed kids like her. I might be making a really unfair assumption, but I would guess that many Korean men would love to bed her, but wouldnt consider her fit to bring home to mom and dad, based on her mixed background. Not all, just most.

As someone who has hung around film sets a lot as a kid, I can tell you that the image you see on TV and that in 'real life' are vastly different. Make up, smoke, camera angles, etc. can turn just about everyone into a babe.

i wouldnt call any of the noses that get made to look more western here 'big.' its just raising the bridge and making the end look less bulbous.
western noses are usually no bigger than asian ones except for the fact that their bridge is flat.

She's only been in this country for three years. That's right. Three years! I say her Korean is quite impressive for someone who's been in this country for only three years.

yeah, i'd say! i've seen her on ̽ Ͽ a bunch of times and she participates in the conversations pretty well. i'd say her korean is better than average.

now i don't know much about this girl specifically, but my problem is that she seems to be just another one of those tv personalities. you know, the people who show up on the variety shows, who show up in commercials, but what do they do? oh, wait, i guess you call them models.

and my other problem is she's diluting her pure han blood. yicky!

A few of my Korean buddies saw her in Bupyeong (at friggin' GooseGoose, I think), and they were all happy about it, so there must be some with a positive reaction. Of course, they may have just been happy to have actually seen a semi-celebrity in Incheon, of all places.

A sorta-foreigner bar in Bupyeong that saw its "glory" days come and go a good few years ago. I may be giving it an undue bad impression, as I haven't been there for about 6 months or so, but the last few times I've been there it's been assy, and I hear similar accounts from most others.

Place used to be packed every weekend, though.

He's generally pretty cocky about things on the board, which doesn't bother me, but I find it pretty shocking that he'd say the host chick in question has average Korean at best. It's not like they have to subtitle her for the masses so that she can be understood.

Just get annoyed by arrogance when it doesn't seem warranted.
