hey guys. well, the problem is that i'm in Korea on a 3 month tourist visa and it's going to end in about 2 weeks. I don't want to do the Japan run just yet because I heard you can extend your tourist visa at the immigration office. But the thing is that I don't know what specific reasons the immigration office will take in order to extend tourist visas. does anyone know of any way to extend tourist visas or what reason i should say for them to extend it and if the immigration office is strict on extending visas? |

They don't extend tourist visas unless you are in the hospital or something. |

Wrong.
I just got an extension on Tuesday. Admittedly, all I needed was 2 days. |

If you are;
1. Infirmed
2. Married (and pending an F-2 visa)
3. Found work (and pending an E-2 visa)
4. Visiting relatives
5. Attending a short-term conference
6. Arrested (and pending trial)
7. Pending legal action (divorce, wills, lawsuits, etc.)
8. Attending a short-term training program
Whatever your reason is or will be, make sure you have documents to back it up. |
