Oyyyyyy, some people never learn. The highlights of my month:

No health insurance.
No pension payments.
No swack from the labor board which asked in all innocence "Can you work this out with your boss?"
Possibly no pay in September.
Oh and when I went to the office to photocopy my contract they PHYSICALLY RESTRAINED ME AND TOOK THE CONTRACT AWAY BY FORCE.

What is the most amount of financial damage I can do these people in the least amount of time? Also, avoid Jeffrey at CharmedU English (http://www.charmedu.net) and Jinheung Primary School in Ansan (http://www.jinheung.es.kr). My public service announcement for the day.

i met jeffrey back in March at his office near Mokdong, I think off the purple line #5. I told him I was willing to sign the contract, since it only involved 20 hours of teaching per week, and 5 hours of prep for 2.3 million. He was not however willing to let me speak to the other foreign teachers. "I'm sure you'll like the job. We never have problems, and teaching is really easy." I decided not to sign, and after reading your problems, I feel fortunate. Good luck with your situation

Jeffrey is not a bad soul just tends to assume, as Koreans are generally wont to, that paleface is a moron. I'm sure the nice police captain from the Ansan substation has had a positive impact on Jeffrey's attitude. Let's all hope for the best. The job is not bad- 5 hours a day, small classes, conversation based- but the company assumes, as schools here usually do, that the only thing needed in order to make an EFL program successful, is an RWG (random white guy/gal.) When they are not rolling in the dough, the RWG is the first casualty.
