I am no handyman.
Nor am a fan of reality tv.
But I find the show fascinating.
It's on channel 14 where I am, is the Olive Food & Life Network.
There's dramatic elements, neat theme episodes (9/11 firefighters, parentless teens, etc), time pressure, innovation, interesting designs,... almost makes me want to remodel a home someday... I don't even know how to wield a hammer properly! |

Yeah the I also find the show addictive. And its a rip off of Korean programs that do very similar things. |

Who did the Korean still it from? Everything is a rip off of something else. I wish I was born a thousand years ago, so I could say something without feeling like a hack who cant think of anything original.
On a side note, I watch it occasionally. |

Im not trying to boost korea merely adding that I first saw this type of program 3 years ago on Korean tv and then this US version came out. No point meant just a useless fact. |

The Korean show was called "Love House" and it was great -- unfortunately it's gone now. |

That it was, Beaver. And didn't you love how the owners of the remodelled homes got all weepy and thankful at the end? The waterworks usually began when they showed the mother/wife her new make-up table/area, or the grandparent their new room with, say, a window-box & planter for flowers. By the end, everyone's balling and the kids always, ALWAYS promise to study harder!!
A neat little show. I never missed an episode if I was home. |
