For the life of me I can��t find a posting that I was reading a few weeks ago. I am pretty sure it wasn��t deleted. It was about a guy that had made the switch over to Japan and talked about his expenses. Anyone know who the originally poster was? A link would be awesome.

i think i read that thread. i think the poster was shakuhachi. i could be wrong, but i remember something like that - dude goes to japan. pays through the nose for a few days while looking for work. almost goes broke. shits pants. etc.

am i close? if so, i think that was shakuhachi. or maybe i just associate him/her with japan.

Yea, the posting talks about staying in a hotel, finding and apartment and getting all set up. He talked about the cost, somewhere around $3,000USD.
