Beginning Nov. 1, I will be selling western-style bakery products on-line, including pies, brownies, cakes, and tiered wedding cakes (the cakes and wedding cakes can only be delivered to the Seoul metro area until I find-out more about packaging)- everything else can be delivered via delivery service. The recipes are from one of the best bakeries in the U.S., and the recipes have won numerous awards. I'll let you guys know the site once everything is up and running.

Dissatisfied customers will have their money returned, but I guarantee you will absolutely love my products! I have worked as an apprentice to a pastry chef while I was in college, in case you are wondering about my experience (Sonsie on Newbury St. in Boston).

If you have a special request for an item not featured on the website, I will do my best to fulfill that request. Here are some of my wedding cakes:

If you have a recipe for vegan bread that does not use white flour, I will be a loyal customer of yours.

The cakes look great, but do you have something in chocolate that makes me roll on the floor in ecstasy? Decoration optional.

Waterbaby, I like your signature! I'll have to research some recipes, but my friend has been vegan for years and cooks/bakes alot, so she and her vegan sister can give me ideas, as well as send me ingredients. I'll have to order some dark muscavado sugar for the gypsy tart, but that sugar sounds interesting to experiment with, so I'm up for the challenge!! Ill let you guys know when I'm up and running (after my wedding and honeymoon Very Happy ).

I did an image search (under Maltese) on Google, and I came across that photo. I think I'll change my avatar to a cake theme soon. Wink

Ok, Pet Lover- I found several recipes to experiment with next month, and if they turn-out really well, I will feature them on my website! =) I'll have to order some Ener-G egg replacer, and a few other things, like flax seed (neither of which I've ever seen in Korea). I'm sure you are used to eating things with egg replacer- I've used it in the past, and it's a bit of an acquired taste to eat things made with egg replacer. I've found some good recipes, so I'll give it a go. For example:

1.Whole wheat bran rolls
2. Sundried tomato/ black olive bread
3. Shallot/ garlic/ herb foccaccia
4. Dilly beer bread
5. Green onion cornbread ~

Non-dairy chocolate items!

1. Fudgey banana walnut brownies
2. Brownie bites
3. Mexican chocolate/almond cake

Do you have the Moosewood cookbook? they have some great vegan recipes.

Periwinkle,

Cookbooks don't do me any good. I don't have an oven or time.

I've never eaten anything with egg replacer that I know of. I've been just leaving eggs out of everything. I'm a new vegan. I went from a steak lover to a vegan overnight back during lunar year of this year. So, there is a LOT out there that I have never tried.

All five bread suggestions sound good to me. How much and when can you ship them? Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy (yeah, I know....not for a while yet)

The non-dairy chocolate items also sound good. They really don't have any other animal stuff? No butter? If so, then I have to order all three things you have mentioned.

Jeesh....looks like most of my grocery budget is going to be devoted to you.

I'd be another happy vegan. I'd die for some brownie vegans and other sweet stuff!!

I mail order stuff from www.veganessentials.com. They are very reliable and an amazing range of vegan stuff.
They also sell substitutes like egg replacer i have some with me but alas no oven to cook in!

Petlover when u're in Seoul check out S & M vege rest and country Life both have great buffet and sell wholemeal brown bread, the one at S & M is organic too. COol to know there's another vegan in gimchi land

Oh, I love Vegan Essentials as well. I'm just waiting for their next round of coupons so that I can place another order.

I've been to a couple of vegetarian restaurants in Seoul. Went to the SM Buffet place and bought packaged fake meat from them. They said that they used it themselves. Took it home, looked up the website on the package, and found out that the vast majority of it has whey listed as one of the ingredients. Sad

Have you tried the Moom from vegan essentials. Yeah, I know, not a food product, but it's fabulous!

Sorry for the minor hijack, but if you're looking for vegan recipes, just ask. I've got 3 Moosewood cookbooks here.

Peri, if you'll be doing any kind of bread without sugar, I'll be a frequent customer. doesn't have to be vegan for me, I just miss home style bread.
