My family has always made their cheesecakes unbaked, which was why I was hesitant to buy the baked one at Walmart.
WELL ..there is no going back now. I have cleaned the smaller portions out now...only the big family size one. Now I really wanted to buy that big one, but then I would eat every last piece myself hence I decided to try the singular at Paris Baguette. Which lead me to the warning post.
Baked are the way forward....or the way back |

i respectfully disagree. they are quite tasty, and make me smile after i have a piece. My favorite thing from there is the 'spicy chicken baguette'. I am very pleased to indulge in that. |

My local outlet sells a heavy round loaf of sourdough rye maybe the best bread I've encountered in Korea. |

Most Korean style cheesecake is too spongy, with little or no cream cheese. But the slices look deceptively real, with the clear plactic wrapper around the sides. Once you buy it though, and start to eat it, the disappointment sets in.
Costco sells The Creamcheese Factory cheesecakes.
The ones at the Walker Hill Deli are good, too. |

Why would you post something like that without posting the exact recipe, including where you bought and hard-to-buy ingredients????????????
What I mean to say is: Please post the recipe! |

Okay, Moonie, what happened? Yeah, I remember that farewell post of yours. How tapering off wasn't the answer, how you had to make a clean bre@st of this place. So, what's brought you back to Dave's, this Thief of Time, this Murderer of Ambition, hmm? |

Well... in all fairness, I never completely quit -- I was visiting Job and Q&A at least twice a week. But then 2 things happened around the same time -- big F-2 changes started bringing me back to the board daily (often twice daily) -- and then a couple days ago, the Q&A disappeared -- so I've been expanding my horizons here a bit.... but it won't get out of control this time. It won't..... |

Ah... it's really easy.
Digestive biscuits (I think Americans call them Graham Crackers) - you can get this in Carrefour and Emart. Crush as much as you want into crumbs. Combine it with melted butter. Add some brown sugar if you'd like.
Cheese - I usually put in 5 or 6 packs of Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Soften it in the microwave. Add white sugar and vanilla essence - according to your taste.
Press the biscuits on to the base of a flan dish. Spread the cheese on top. I usually get a can of blueberry or cherry topping from ExpoCore - 4/5,000 won a can from the shop in the corner next to the escalator.
Chill and there you have it - a non-baked, very cheesey cheese cake! |
