Why do you suggest I read a book on the revelation of hell?

That wasn't intended for you, but as thought for continuation of the thread. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I did look through the first link and will look at the second one later. I will comment later, ok?

Quote:
I say, if you're so deadset on destruction that you continually pray for the world to end; to wit: you want to die...then you should just kill yourself. Really, just end it all if you hate life so much. Do yourself a favor.

My life is great, if you are referring to me. I love life and all that it has to offer. I am incredibly blessed and have a wonderful future. However, I am deadset on the telling people that the continuation of their sins will bring destruction and death. If you want to listen, your choice, but that's the difference.

I have been fortunate to see people come to life and change from their wicked ways. They have gone on to live in God's joy, peace and fulfillment. I have also seen others not listen. I can only hope that they will turn to Christ before their judgment is set.

Mash,

Quote:
I am surprised that you disrespect those sources, especially the Bereans.

I didn't read them, because of my past reading of apologetic links and discussion with past people. Have you followed the Bereans website for long? Have they exihibited the fruit of the spirit? What is the power of their ministry? Is love their primary mission, but is it evidenced with power?

These would be some of the common questions I would ask myself before examining a ministry.

So here we go....

Quote:
Trademark: Joyner is a self proclaimed prophet that excuses his false prophesies by claiming that one must only be accurate 66% of the time when speaking in the name of the Lord. He is a gnostic and teaches on self-empowerment and Latter Rain.

Wow, that doesn't sound too critical at all. How can one be objective in their examination on him if the writer is already posting his conclusion statement in his introduction? What makes him a gnostic and a Later Rain? Wow, he falls within both descriptions, isn't that quite broad?

I had a teacher in college who blamed him of both of these judgments. However, when I pressed her on the subject, she would always make assumptions rather than from fact. She would become defensive and would try to intimidate me through her position rather than tell me the truth.

Besides, is it even biblical to broadcast a person's mistakes over the net, without first approaching the person in confidence? Hasn't the bible set a precedence for the believer to follow? There is a level of authority in the body of Christ and through this authority shouldn't correction be leveled? Similar to the kind of the correction Rick Joyner brought to Paul Cain.

Rick, Mike and Jack first approached Paul when they had evidence of the sin that he had fallen in. Paul didn't receive the correction, so they brought the correction to Paul and the church. Paul didn't receive the rebuke again, so this is when Rick put the correction on his website.

Do you think the same has happened with Rick? Why? They don't have the relationship or/and authority to speak into Rick's life. The authority of a ministry full of fruit where they are recognized by the body of Christ as being the watchmen of the church.

Personally Mash, I believe they are the false prophets the bible warns people of.

Why, because their writings reveal the fruit of criticalness, slander, envy and discord. It isn't edifying at all.

Cheers

With heaven full of people like 5eagles, I'm thinking that Hell won't be all that bad. There'll be plenty of cool Jews and Buddhists to hang with along with some of the nastier Catholic school girls.

For the love of Bealzebub can we be done with all the religious threads?

FiveEagles all you've done here is turn more people away from Jesus due to your overzealous evangelical proselytizing.
Sin of pride, that you thought you were doing anything but.
Go weep for your soul.

Wow, Bulsajo, a serious thread. I didn't think you could do it. Wink

Why do you keep on contributing to them? Maybe something keeps bringing you back, eh?

Unfortunately BS, the gospel of Christ has never been popular. Many times, people would leave Jesus at His most deperate times. For example when He went to the cross, He went alone. Deserted by all.

Well, then it's not so bad.

I would ask you this question, and I really don't know what you believe, but if you don't believe in Hell, why would you get offended by what I have said? If I am off in amusement land? I mean, if what I am saying didn't have any merit, why would it elicit the response we see?

BTW
Do you know what Bezeelbub(sp?) stands for? It stands for the Lord of the Flies. Jesus called Satan the Lord of the flies. He called him that because flies hang around death. I don't know if this point is true, but Jesus also fasted for 40 days. I have heard this is the life cycle of a fly. It may have symbolically represented Jesus defeating the life cycle of a fly.

A little side note. Smile

Which passage in the bible is this?

Also, which species of flies are these? I just checked up on it and house flies tend to live for about 29 days barring the judgement of god in the form of a rolled up newspaper.

Though fruit flies live about 40 days, but I didn't think they were into corpses.
