i've been thinking of having my parents ship me my alto sax, you know, something to do over the winter. (was going to get a piano, but i already have a sax, only thing is, it's in canada)
i played sax for 5 years and loved it, but couldn't keep it up in university. i played in a jazz combo among other bands.
it's something i'd really love to pick up again. that is, if i could find someone who would be willing to help me out, point me in the right direction, or even just someone to play with. i'm definitely not ready to jump in a band or anything....i have a lot of brushing up to do....

anyway, enough rambling. anyone out there play sax or know someone who does who could teach me?

that's one of the figures that was on my wedding cake. obviously, the other one was a little asian boy. cute, eh?

sistersarah: combination....in my first year of university, i lived in a residence run by nuns. i loved them and they were so cute.
also, there is a sex shop chain in nova scotia called "sister sarah's." my friends starting calling me that (often just "sister") after finding some questionable stuff in my dorm room. actually, they were just jokes my long-distance boyfriend sent me in the mail, but you know how friends are.

You thought the nuns were cute? Actually, I only had one bad experience with a nun: she was a very intolerant b*tch. Evil or Very Mad I even started a thread to find out whether I was the only unlucky one. BTW, your name "sistersarah" reminded me to start the thread, although the nun in question was called Sheila.
