| Being drunk out of your skull and sitting on a bridge doesn't mix. |

| Ditto, climbing over a fence with a Do Not Enter sign on it. (According to the JoongAhn Daily) |

Woman dies after fall from Cheonggye bridge
A 50-year-old housewife fell from a bridge over Cheonggye Stream late last night on the festive opening day of the stream.
|
Multiple reasons available for falling:
1. Suicide
2. Accident
3. Pushed
4. Inebriated
5. Insert your own... |

Judging by the number of people there who were completely wasted/passed out at three in the afternoon, my bet's on #4.

| The area she fell from was a kind of service/industrial access area located in the middle of the street. In other words, no where near where pedestians should have been. |

| I was in that particular crush of humanity for nearly five hours yesterday. Regardless of all the bridges, the steep drops and the safety hazards of the terrain, I'd be surprised if there hadn't been any deaths during the long festivities. Traffic mishaps, alcohol-induced weirdness, heart attacks, what have you. Given the sheer numbers of people there, it was almost a statistical inevitability, wasn't it? |
