Any one have any experience with the following books? I looked at them I thought they were all crap any ways. My haqwon is wanting a change and they are pretending to ask us for our opinion.

Smile 1 S/B
Plus Phonics A S/B
Smart Phonics 1-Single Letter
Exploring Very Easy 1
Exploring Reading Easy 1
Very Easy Reading 1 S/B
Reading Practice 1 (B+CD)

I have had good success at stimulating the interest and performance of above average students with the Backpack series, especially at the higher levels. They are quite visual focussed, have lots to do and can generate discussion.

Some of the others on your list I really don't like, and a couple I don't know anything about.

If it isn't from Cambridge Interchange series I really don't like to use it. If that is to hard for my kids I tend to walk them through it. Most of the times its not to bad.

English Times sucks ass.
