Hello all...just got into Korea a little over three months ago. Things are going good so far, but I must say I haven't met too many people I can hang out with on a regular basis (I know, that makes me sound sad). That said, I got this brochure for a multicultural festival coming up this weekend in Anseong and it looks like something worth seeing, but I don't have anyone to go with and I don't wanna go alone. Is anyone interested in checking it out with me? We'd have to take a bus there, but that would be fine with me... Email me at [email protected] if you wanna go with.

Anyone?
Anyone?

Bueller?

If you want more info about it, their website is:

The festival sounds great.... unfortunately there are two other terrific festivals this weekend as well!

The Andong mask festival (I went last weekend and it was awesome!)
And the Jinju lantern festival which I am going to this weekend.

Dont feel bad about not meeting anyone yet, it happens to a lot of people... I was here 4 months before I had someone to hang out with. My other friends had families or lived in another city. Where are you by the way?

I live nearby Jungwha Station, on subway line #7...it's in the eastern part of Seoul.

Well, if no one can go with me this weekend maybe you guys might wanna get together to do something else some other time? I hate having no one to hang out with, especially now that it's getting colder and soon I won't be able to occupy myself with outdoorsy stuff...

Where are you all located?

What is this Mask Festival thing that you mentioned? That might be cool too. Smile

i used to live in Anseong and feel a special attachment to the place for some reason. I'll be there, hopefully on Saturday evening. That's when all the good stuff happens.

I went last year and it was fun.

PM me - but I'll be motorcycling down there. Maybe we could meet there.

Be patient there OP it took me awhile to meet folks. Now look at me I am having near death experiences in the seedy side of Hongdae. Not that any part of Hongdae is not seedy.

Will have to throw a pass on the festival, but I would like to suggest this website to you.

www.adventureinkorea.com

or something to that effect. Lots off good waygook get out of seoul trips.
