Ok, hope someone can answer this one.....I have a feeling its a no brainer to anyone here awhile...
Where can I pick up a cheap printer? Nothing fancy, only need it for simple wordprocessing stuff. I have a laptop if that matters. Just want something basic and at a basic price. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.....
Or should I just wait around and look in a dumpster?

There are tons of printers for under W100,000 at Walmart, E-Mart etc. not to mention Yongsan. Just look around for what will suit you. There is no real wrong choice in that class. But I would say buy an Epson or HP. The rest are okay but with my experience they have been the most reliable. |

I saw an epson printer for sale on bidrok.com
Check it out here
When I looked the opening bid was only W1000. Could be cheap.

Yes, but come on, with printers so cheap who wants to buy a used one? I saw a HP printer at Walmart for like W50,000 a week ago. Thats cheap. |

The other option is to get a free printer by walking around apartment complexes on Saturday morning and looking at the recycling piles. I got my epson cx5100 all-in-one like that and it works perfect. At least twice a month someone throws out a printer in my complex. |

thanks for the advice, ill look at my office tel
Good to know that Ishould just pay around 100,ooo or under......I just hate buying HP --- don't know why but they just seem like a gluttonous company. Draw you in and then try to suck the blood from you........with all their products...
Thanks for the feedback.

Unless you really really really need color, consider getting a low priced laser printer. You might pay an extra $100 or $200 but ink jet cartridges don't last and they're expensive to replace. As well, they're slow as all get out and the ink smudges easily. |

I agree, if you dont need color get a lazer, they are 'cheap' these days. |

this is probably obvious, but check out the prices of refills before you go for the cheapest printer. That's where they sting yer |

It's really horrible these days what printer companies are doing to lock you into buying only their cartridges. Chips that block use of third party supplies and the MDCA keeping anyone from hacking the chip. Now I read printer companies are introducing DVD like region codes. If you buy a printer in Korea you might not be able to bring it home and buy supplies in Canada.
