I'm strongly considering finishing up a bachelors at Korea U.
I'm pretty sure they'll accept me as a junior if I apply.
I've already spoken to them about it.

But I'm not sure if it's a good move on my part to do so.

Does anyone know how Korean Universities stack up internationally?

More to the point, does anyone know where online to find out such information about specific universities outside the English speaking nations?

And not, if you please, the universtie's own pages. I'm looking for more of a comparative guide to foreign universities and programs from a less partial source.

Thank you.

i was thinking about it last year, but decided against it. even the best korean universities just aren't that great in an international sense. seoul-dae i think doesn't even scrape into the top 100.
it depends on what you want of course- if your intention is to stay in korea, then a degree from seoul, koryo, yonsei, sungyunkwan, kaist etc. would be great. however if you want to then go somewhere else, your degree would have a lot less cachet.

To be honest, does it really matter where Korean univerisites rank? No matter their rank, no one in the U.S. will have heard of them. It really depends on your future goals....for becoming a Korea expert i.e. language, politics, business etc, then studying in Korea makes sense. But if you want just any kind of job in the States then it does not make sense at all. You miss out on job placement programs at the U.S. universities, access to internships, and simply having U.S. recruiters recognize your school.
