|
|
I'm asking this question from Bangkok, Thailand, never been to S. Korea before myself.
I've heard there's a lot of Irish teachers in S. Korea. Is this the case? Where are the popular spots that the Irish to go to? |

The Craik is good! Soho, Hollywoods, Woodstock (Itaewon), Leader's (Kangnam-gu office), Irish Bar (Yeoksam), 3 Alley Pub, etc. |

More of the Craic rather than Craik please. There is no "K" in the Irish language. |

This is a good first stop if you are an Irish person arriving here.

Word of advice. If you want to meet Irish people don't go to Helios in Itaewon. |

Its a long story. You can check it out by doing a search on google for it or by going here.

The mods don't like the topic popping up here so all the threads have been deleted. |

No desicion yet on where to go but preferably somewhere that isn't infested with Irish abroad like Bondi beach in Sydney circa '98 -02 or like Munich '90 - '95 or Nantucket Island mid 90's. I've heard that Korea is the latest spot to go for the craic but I wanted to avoid the scene if it's possible, miserable (Irish) bugger that I am. |

There is nowhere on that scale here and it is unlikely that there ever will be.
I always recommend Busan to people. There are usually 40 or 50 Irish there at any given time. Enough to help you out if there are problems but not enough to make you feel you didn't get away from home at all. |
